The Pool Car application was developed for a large company that maintains a fleet of company cars and commercial vehicles.
The software uses a unique vehicle booking display which combines a spreadsheet view with database functionality. The software also tracks routine servicing and maintenance, un-available vehicles, short/long term hire vehicles, discounted rates etc.
It provides full internal recharge facilities against corporate budgets, and allows separate Vehicle, Insurance, Petrol, and misc. expenses. Vehicle repairs are also handled and can be charged and tracked separately.
Extra costs and charges can be easily entered and tracked for each vehicle. Several reports are provided for customers, finance function (if separate) and internal use. Utilisation and Profit/Loss reports can include departmental running overheads. An analysis of costs, charges and profit can be easily produced in either report or graphical format over any desired period.
The software integrates the provision of both company-owned and externally-hired vehicles to the clients, and consolidates client departmental recharges between business units.
